How does this work once I order?
Once your order is placed and payment has been received, I will send you a confirmation email and a request for all the necessary information. Once finished, a JPEG or PDF file will be emailed to you for printing. You can either print at home or send it to a print shop.
Are you taking custom orders?
Yes, however, when I get really busy with orders, I may not take on new projects or the time line will increase. A custom package is 50$ and can take up to 5-10 business days to complete, so please inquire well ahead for the party date. I would recommend at least two months before you’d like the invites to be mailed out. Custom card designs are 20$ Custom color or font changes 15$
What is your turn-around time?
Typically it’s 3 business days.
Do you send proofs?
Yes, you will receive a proof within three business days. Any necessary changes will be made and you will receive the final copy which may take one full business day.
Can I edit the products once I order them?
No. All of my products are copyrighted and cannot be altered except through totful memories.
How do I know what file type to choose for your invitations?
Choose JPEG if you plan to print them out individually at a photo processing facility. Choose PDF if you plan to print at home or at a print shop. Files are formatted for 8.5×11 paper.
Do you offer print/assemble services?
No. There are so many great print options; office supply stores like Staples for card stock, Vistaprint is a great online print centre, just upload the invite and away you go! The most economical are photo centers like Costco or Walmart, be sure to print on matte or lustre photo paper for best results.
Can you customize the colors of a product I purchase from your shop?
Most of the time. There will be an extra custom change fee ($5 for an invite, 15$ for the full package). Just email me for your specific needs and I will let you know if I am available and I can then give you a quote.
I need this for a party tomorrow! Can I place a rush order?
Yes, I do try to meet the needs of all my customers, just email me and I will do my best. There is a $10 fee for all rush orders and are only available on our existing designs, not custom orders.
What is the best type of paper to use for your products?
Bright white card stock (100lb for invites is a nice thickness) or heavy weight matte photo paper. I prefer Staples brand heavy weight matte photo paper.
For the package I also recommend staples. I use 65lb cardstock on all party items except the water bottle wraps/napkin rings and chocolate bar wrappers. For those I like to use regular bright white paper.
What type of printer do you use?
Ink-jet printers are best to print our products if done at home.
Should I print these myself or send them to a printer?
Whichever you prefer. You could print one out at home and if you aren’t satisfied with how it turns out, you can take them to a print shop such as Staples.
The colors look different on paper than they do on the computer screen. Can you adjust the colors?
Colors vary based on your computer monitor and on your photo processor, so printing a sample is strongly encouraged. Because the colors of my files do not change from order to order, this is likely a printer issue. I recommend that you check the ink cartridges to see if they need replacement or adjust the intensity settings on your printer. Generally, this always solves the problem.
What type of punch do I use for the 2″ party circles?
You need a 2″ paper punch. I find the circle shape is easy to find at Michael’s or Staples, while the scallop punch is available here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001EDVOF2/?tag=thtost0f-20. You can also try your local scrapbooking store for many more shape options.
How do I make the cupcake toppers?
Use 4″ lollipop sticks, bought at your local craft store like Michael’s, but they are also available at Walmart. After you have punched out your party circles, attach them to the sticks with a small piece of tape, glue gun or 1″ round white labels for a finished look.
Do you work regular business hours?
Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm PST
My business operating hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm PST, excluding statutory holidays.
Orders will be completed 3 business days after all necessary information has been collected.
Please note that the 3 day turnaround does not apply to custom orders. Turnaround time for custom orders are agreed to on a per sale basis.
Emails may be answered after that time but I try to spend as much time as I can in the evening and weekends with my family.
Can I submit my party pictures to be features on the Totful Memories blog?
Yes, of course you can! However, I cannot feature each and every party that is submitted to me. Please email us 4-5 party pictures, details of your event, and any DIY details to email@example.com. Also, please let me know if your party has been featured on any other blogs or websites. If I decide to feature your party, I will notify you.
